Gratitude Affirmations (Free Printables!)
With Thanksgiving right around the corner, there is no better time than now to talk about gratitude and how important it is to practice it in our daily lives.
It’s not uncommon to hear someone say that they want to be happy. Sometimes we talk about happiness as a goal, as if happiness can be some permanent state of being.
“I just want to be happy”
The problem with looking at happiness as something to achieve is the fact that happiness is a feeling. It’s fleeting. It has its place in our life like every other emotion. If we didn’t experience sadness or anger we wouldn’t fully appreciate happiness, would we?
While you can’t live in a constant state of happiness there are ways to become a happier person; someone who experiences happiness more often. Sure you could go for a walk in nature, buy yourself your favorite warm beverage on a chilly day but the easiest and almost instant way to feel happy is to be grateful.
When you take the time to acknowledge all that you have to be grateful for, you start to realize how many amazing things you have in your life. Think about it! 🙂
What are you grateful for? Try making a list. My gratitude lists span from being grateful to have another day, the fact that I’m healthy, and that I have some wonderful people in my life, to also including my gratefulness for the internet, coffee, and the existence of Oprah! It’s all valid!
I always walk away from this practice feeling refreshed and reminded that life in itself is a gift and I want to use my time here for the greater good.
With that all being said, let me get to the fun part of this post!
I finally have access to Photoshop again so I figured there is no better time than now, to combine my love of blogging and my love of graphic design and make something to share with you.
I have created a set of 4 Gratitude Affirmations. I encourage you to download and/or print them and use them in your daily life! Try starting a routine of saying these affirmations each morning as a way to improve your mood and to get your day off to a good start 🙂
In addition to this, I’ve also made a template that you can use to make your own Gratitude List like I mentioned above in this post. Print it out or save it on your phone and fill in the things that you are grateful for and see how it makes you feel. I promise that doing this will make you feel even a smidge happier than you did before 🙂
That’s all for today’s post! If you are interested in the gratitude affirmations and gratitude list that I made, you can download them below! (right-click and save on computers. Hold down and save on smartphones)
