Recipe: Easy Banana Bread
Recipe: Banana Bread
My super simple recipe for banana bread that is moist and delicious!
Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 dash salt
- 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
- 3 overripe bananas
- 3 eggs (beaten)
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 table spoon vanilla extract
- cooking spray or butter to grease pan
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips or walnuts (optional)
Instructions
-
Begin by preheating your oven to 350 degrees Farenheight
-
In one bowl add and mix together your flour, baking soda, and salt
-
In another bowl peel and mash-up your bananas.
-
To the mashed bananas add eggs, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and oil then mix well.
-
Carefully begin adding your dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. It helps to add it in a little bit at a time to prevent the batter from having any flour lumps.
-
Once your batter is mixed and you no longer have any flour lumps, you can add in chocolate chips or walnuts if you prefer! I always like to add some chocolate chips to my banana bread
-
Grease your 9x5" loaf pan with cooking spray or butter then pour your batter in
-
Bake for about 60 minutes or until a knife comes out of the center clean.
Banana bread is a great Fall treat and it pairs perfectly with a hot cup of coffee!
I have tried countless banana bread recipes over the years but this is my favorite way to make it. It comes out very moist and the outer layer has a slight crust to it depending on how long you bake it for (I usually bake it for about 60-65 minutes but I wouldn’t suggest baking for longer than that).
I hope you try it out, and if you do let me know what you think!
